හියු ජැක්මන් inspired performance එකක් දෙනවා. dark subject matter එක balance කරලා, cruel humor සහ haunted life එක පේන්නන්නවා. ජෝඩි කෝමර් reflection එකක් වගේ. රොබින් වෙනස් path එකක් ගත්තා නම් මොකද වෙන්නේ කියලා පේන්නන්නවා. art direction, cinematography, setting හොඳයි. පළමු 20 minutes brutal. හැබැයි බොහෝ විචාරකයින් කියනවා movie එක drag වෙනවා, slow, close-ups වැඩියි, redemption arc එක predictable සහ unearned කියලා. සමහරු folklore එකේ hope සහ justice නැති කරලා grim melancholy විතරක් දුන්නා කියලා criticize කරනවා. තවත් අය dark fairy-tale deconstruction එකක් විදිහට අගය කරනවා. overall mixed. great performances, beautiful but slow, not the Robin Hood you know.

US & Canada එකේ මිලියන 5කට වඩා, opening weekend මිලියන 2.8කට වඩා, ලෝක ව්‍යාප්තව මිලියන 6.8කට වඩා (USD) ආදායම් ලබා තියෙනවා. A24 limited/wide release style එකේ modest box office එකක්.

සාමාන්‍ය Robin Hood adventures බලන්න ආස නම් මේක නෙවෙයි. හියු ජැක්මන්ගේ intense, layered acting, dark period pieces, “heroes ගේ skeletons” වගේ stories ආස නම්, එක වටයක් බලන්න වටිනවා. patience එකක් ඕනේ. slow burn. folklore එකේ death එක බලන්න ඕනේ නම්, මේක ඒ වෙනුවෙන් හදපු ෆිල්ම් එකක්.
